About These Folk.

These Folk is a tight, funny, beautiful and heartwarming show performed by two of the most experienced improvisers in the UK (see below). Inspired by suggestions from the audience, Justin Brett and Susan Harrison create an entirely improvised, song-filled folk tale, accompanied by the finest musicians on guitar and cajon.

Expect belly laughs, moving moments and delight along the way as a new myth is created for Thorington from your suggestions.

Susan Harrison and Justin Brett are long standing members of the Olivier Award Winning “Showstopper! -The Improvised Musical” and have performed with them at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as in the West End, throughout the UK and Internationally.

Susan is an award winning character comedian, actress and improviser. Theatre credits include: Peter Pan Goes Wrong (Mischief Theatre/ West End), The Elephantom (National Theatre/West End), and many, many more. She was a series regular in BAFTA winning CBBC sketch show Class Dismissed and her TV credits are numerous.

Justin is an actor, musician comedian and improviser. Theatre credits includes: Million Dollar Quartet (West End), Snow Queen (Park Theatre), Blue/Orange (Octagon, Bolton - Nominated Best Actor, MEN Awards) and many more. His TV & Film credits are many, and include War Horse (Steven Spielberg).

Between them, the Queens have had multiple appearances/writing credits on BAFTA award-winning television and radio shows including The Goes Wrong Show (BBC 1); In My Skin, People Just Do Nothing (BBC3); Man Down and Sally4Eva (Channel 4); Sarah Millican’s Support Group and The News Quiz (Radio 4). They also regularly perform with top improvisation groups including: Comedy Store Players, Paul Merton’s Impro Chums, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?
