Antipholus and his servant Dromio are searching for Antipholus’ twin brother, Antipholus, who was lost in a shipwreck. Anitpholus - the twin who was lost - also has a servant called Dromio, who just so happens to be the twin brother of Dromio - servant to the Antipholis who is searching… Together they head to Ephesus to look for their lost twins, Antipholus and Dromio. You can probably see how people might get confused and mistaken identity could occur!
