A fantastic summer concert for a very worthy cause!
Produced by local musician and music teacher Marie Young, Music for Our Marine Life promises to be a heart-warming and inspiring evening filled with brilliant local musical talent - bands, singers and poets of all ages will come together to celebrate and support the important work of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The line up includes local folk musicians, Crannog and Friends, community band Tutti Windband, and saxophonists Saxpack. St. Felix School Choir will sing beautiful songs about the sea, and young poets from Dell Primary School in Lowestoft will read original poetry about Suffolk marine life.
Marie Young trained as a volunteer Marine Mammal Medic with British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) in June 2020, after calling them out to rescue a seal pup from Walberswick. The organisation is a national charity that relies on donations and trained volunteers, all around the UK, to rescue seals, dolphins, porpoises, whales and other marine life. They are on call 24/7.
Marie has rallied her community bands and music students to perform at this joyous concert to raise money for BDMLR, and we invite you to join them!
